Mini-PLume Aviaries

Our Passion

During my childhood, as far as i can remember, we have always owned birds starting from Bengalese and zebra finches ,turtledoves, doves, canaries all the way to, budgies. We used to love watching our little darlings breeding and raising up their young but, that was just for our simple pleasure since we always owned only, one or two couples at a time.

My mother's favorites has always been and still are to this day, the canaries, those beautiful little birds with a golden voice so wonderful to look at and pleasant to hear singing. Me, well for ma part, it had been love at first sight for a tamed little blue budgie that i named Cocotte. I used to pass days playing with her.

Then one day, an allergy to anything with feathers was discovered on my mother by the doctors. What a sadness, for my mother's health and well being, we had to get rseperated from our little sweethearts.

So we ended up going through many years without birds. One day, having moved into my own appartment, i went to the pet store in my area and, it was love at first sight with Kiwi,  a beautiful female red-rumped parrot who lived with me for a few years. Unfortunately, Kiwi died from a draft caused by two doors left opended all day by my roomate at that time. The, a few years later, it' ll be two years real soon, my mother decides to make another attempt at owning birds. She builds up a beautiful four feet tall, aviary and buys a few finches to put in it. To her surprise, no allergic reactions at all so, she builds up a second little aviary that she fills up with some other finches but, that will eventually become too much to take care of for her health so, she decides to give me her second aviary  as a gift. Since that day, my mother has given back  to me, the beautiful and sweet passion for little exotic birds. Since then, my mother build herself, a seven feet tall aviary and gave me her other little 4 feet tall one so, i now have two aviaries and i am in the process of building my self a third one that should have seven feet long by five feet tall so my little darlings will have plenty of flight space.

Our Passion has done nothing but, growing with time and makes us very happy. I moved back in, with my mother as of end of Febuary 2006  and we are now working at building my new bird room.
